2005 AWARD WINNING HOME

When it comes to building a specific home based on Japanese culture, only Lancini Homes had the expertise and quality of workmanship to fully execute the project.

The concept of this home was governed by the principles of Feng Shui, with certain characteristics developed to utilize the surrounding water, river breezes and the natural land's natural beauty. Tranquility and functionality blended together to form a retreat emphasizing its position.

The design concept depicts open plan living to suit the climatic conditions with a maximum utilization of space for both living and storage. The main bedroom, en-suite and walk in robe was designed as a self-sufficient space to seclude the owners from guests and siblings should the need occur. The dominant theme of the downstairs space is simple functionality. The complexity of creating this space supporting the upper level was a challenge that Bernard Lancini achieved with perfect results. To maintain this home's unique theme, all fit out components were imported from Japan , in an effort to blend our cultural relationships. All features are authentic items and not reproductions.

Designing this home provisions were made to accommodate another aspect to allow further extensions to suit a growing family. Provision for extra walls in the nursery and bedrooms 2 and 3 for a 4 bedroom dwelling with office. There is also allowance for a deck off the living room. This adaptability has been planned during the commencement of design to be utilized when required so that the current space is occupied for its current requirements.

With busy lifestyles, security in the home is becoming increasingly paramount. This enabled Bernard to incorporate the C-Bus 2 which provides an aesthetically functional security system allowing the owners the flexibility to control the home from anywhere in the world, this being achieved through a telephone interface.

The judges for the awards soon realized that this home was completed professionally and the quality of the workmanship had spoken for itself. The uniqueness of its design and the challenges associated with the blending of two cultures were easily overcome thanks to the experience of Bernard and his team of professionals. This home will stand at the forefront of design and quality and is a well deserved award winner for Lancini Homes during 2005.

2004 TOWNSVILLE HOME OF THE YEAR

This top accolade reinforces Bernard and Joanne's commitment to quality.

" This fantastic result is impressive ", a comment made by the award judges "the curved roof, its attractive façade and privacy, which is achieved without compromising the cooling effects of fresh breezes, both upstairs and downstairs there-by providing the ultimate North Queensland lifestyle ".

Based on the owners' uniquely individual needs Bernard designed the home to provide space for children and parents.

Two bedrooms for the kids, a TV room, bathroom and toilet with external vanity to remove the teeth brushing conflicts. The main bedroom with luxury ensuite and private balcony provide that 'quiet time' you need.

Timber, sandstone, granite, timber louvers and stainless steel are features which also impressed the judges so much that this bright, breezy and spacious home truly became the North's BEST HOME.
